Went to trade in an item, and the person helping me was kinda snarky about it, saying "it's not trade in, it's buy back" which was already kinda off setting. The item in Question was a Super Nintendo Classic Edition, and I had brought it up there to possibly trade in.

After the wait, I went to the counter and was offered an insulting amount of 17$ cash...55 store credit. When I told her that I was not interested in the offer, I thanked her for looking. Then, she make the comment that " We can't buy something for a huge amount, (she says 200-300$, which, I am aware of, due to knowing a lot of the retro market ).

Like I get it but, that felt truly Lowballed , considering they were gonna sell it for at least 100$ plus dollars . So, I do NOT think I will be coming back

I was insulted by Christopher in intake who rejected all my merchandise for not meeting his standards bull

This guy named Christopher has a bad attitude he gets off watching people bring in merchandise so he can tell them the merchandise doesn't meet his standards well the 30 dvds are in the same condition as we bought them here and now you have stuck up people whom you have given alittle power and they are so abusive with it I vote that Christopher be sent home for failing to meet my standards get rid of christopher

Worst experience ever. They made my daughter ...a minor (13 yo) sign a release document without a parent being present.

Never called or text us to agree on a sale price. Went back to see what happened and with no explanation, our books were on the shelf to be sold. 20 books (read one time) that were purchased new with her hard-earned money. Only to be told we can have 12 dollars cash or 21 dollars store credit.

My daughter was devastated. The assistant Manager in highland was Extremely rude. No print out of what each book paid us. All we were told Is "the order has been processed...take the 12 cash or 21 credit.

Way to rune a 13 yo that loves to read.

She would have rather kept the saught-after books then give them away. Shame on you 2nd & Charlie

Horrible experience

Dear Sir or Mam,

I few weeks ago I brought some books, dvds, collectable action figures and a nintendo DS to the Lakewood location.

Unfortunately the store was 3 days behind on taking in inventory. I agreed to be called on my cell phone when my stuff had been reviewed.

When I was giving the box over to the staff member I made it very clear the call of duty collectible action figures were valuable and not to loose any pieces. I went home. A few days later I received a call and was told the value of my stuff was 15$ at the time I kinda shrugged and went along with the agreement over the phone. I felt sick about how things were so poorly valued so I called Matthew at the location and explained to him what happened.

He was empathetic and realized a mistake had been made. He contacted his general manager and alas nothing could be done about my poor decision. Matthew was still empathetic and said my action figures were priced at 5$ and long gone. On ebay these figures are 50-100$ .

It was reported my nintendo DS was never processed. Which means it has gone missing or stolen or someone else got store credit.

I am very disappointed, i have been supporting 2nd and Charles for the last 5 years or more? And now I am not going to support this business.

Poor quality service in the Buyback section- West Broad Street, Richmond VA

I tried to bring some books into your Buyback counter in the Broad Street Richmond, VA store AGAIN today ( this is the 6th time this year )- the employee immediately starting going thru my books and telling me how they were being very restrictive of what they would take..they have been doing this for MONTHS now. They identified non-fiction books in general and fiction books by popular authors ( James Patterson, Patricia Cornwell ) as books they DIDN'T want...however, the employee didn't even bother to look the books up on their computer system to see if the particular novel was in their inventory or not.

They readily admitted that their parameters for accepting books change constantly ( which is NOT helpful to customers ) and blamed " higher powers " for restricting them. But the employee also admitted their southside store ( which is less busy ) is able to take in MORE books, which makes NO SENSE as the Broad Street store is considered a high volume 2nd and Charles location.

The overall impression this store has given me since the beginning of the year ( I have been in the store a half dozen times this year ) is that they don't want to trade books and don't care about the customer. They don't want to bother checking books in and researching them in their computer system but would rather reject them at the counter when they come in.

Guy talking two a couple for 2 and a half hours

I brang in 3 totes of dvds and no customers ahead of me It was at 430 I walked up several times and he was just talking about personal stuff I finally went up and asked how long the buyback closed and he Said ok 5 to 10 minutes late I got the offer it Was Not even 20 dollars it was the price he just counted them and gave me 3 cents a piece what was not the issue it was his talking for 2 and A half hrs so I called several times for management no phone call and then when I called yesterday the mail that is how they can do it so I will never go to white hall pa store again I have been dealing with youse for over 4 years

I took approximately 200 Blu Ray disc movies in there to help with some holiday bills ....what a joke! It's a raping of American people, seriously! There giving like ,15 cents per movie but they don't outright say it, they just give an offer for your stuff!
